What are the Pro and Cons of Payday Loans in UK ?

In the middle of the month I am nearly out of money due to the medical expenses for my treatment for that road accident that was costed me 500 pounds. I saw the option as payday loans so can anyone give me some clarification about pro and cons of these payday loans so that It help me deciding what should I do?
